Card Value Calculator

Enter an annual fee and your own benefit assumptions to see the arithmetic in one place.

Reviewed: August 2, 2026

What is this?

A calculator that subtracts a user-entered annual fee from user-entered perk and rewards values.

Who needs it?

Cardholders who want a transparent worksheet for their own assumptions.

Bottom line

The result is only as reliable as the values you enter and is not a keep, cancel, or downgrade recommendation.

How the calculation works

The calculator adds only the perk values and rewards valuation you enter, then subtracts the annual fee you enter. It does not retrieve current card terms, estimate points for you, or assign a value to a benefit you did not price yourself.

Use realized values

For a benefit, enter what it replaced in your real spending, not the issuer's headline value. For points or miles, use the dollars received divided by the points redeemed in a completed redemption. Verify the annual fee and every benefit in the current issuer terms.

Do not use the result alone

A positive or negative number does not decide whether to keep, cancel, or change a credit account. Interest, debt, credit utilization, account history, refund timing, product-change availability, and issuer-specific terms are outside this calculator.
